Saya merekam momen ini pada November, waktu mendapat tugas liputan foto pelaksanaan SKD CPNS 2018. Saya berjalan pulang menuju parkiran motor, momen ini kemudian terjadi. lewat begitu saja. Tiba-tiba dan sangat cepat. Hanya dalam hitungan detik. Split second, split moment.

Saya sudah tidak bisa meraih kamera yang telah aman di dalam tas. Saya salah perhitungan. Pada akhirnya saya hanya bisa menggunakan kamera HP, speed-nya lemah dan lemot.

Memotret menggunakan HP jelata dan masih cicilan, bikin saya tidak bisa mengimbangi momentum peristiwa dengan kecepatan tombol rana yang selalu taputar-putar dulu baru terdengar bunyi klik.

Dalam foto ini, bapak itu sudah lama berusaha menjadi pawang bagi anaknya yang rewel. Di tengah kebisingan manusia-manusia yang berburu nomor induk kepegawaian, anak ini gerah, ia menangis berusaha pergi dari gendongan Bapaknya. Sedang ibunya masih bertarung dengan TWK. Kalau anak bayi menangis, sudah pasti, Mama solusinya.

Foto ala kadarnya ini selalu membuat saya senyum-senyum sendiri. Kala kembali menelusuri lorong-lorong waktu pada kejadian itu, saya kadang tertawa kecil, melihat si Ibu yang langsung tancap berlari menuju bayinya pas setelah keluar dari ruang ujian. Di tengah lalu lalang orang-orang, bayi yang memberontak dari bapaknya itu sekejap merasa damai setelah didekap ibunya. Bagi saya, dulu, itu adalah lucu. Unik.

Namun, ketika saya pun dikaruniai seorang anak, dan menemukan kembali cuplikan kejadian ini, perspektif saya memandang foto ini ikut berubah. Saya tatap lama-lama. Saya replay kembali dalam kepala, saya sudah tidak bisa tertawa lagi. Saya malah terharu. Saya kini sudah bisa merasai, bagaimana perasaan menjadi orang tua. Ternyata begini.

Benarlah apa yang diungkapkan Taufan Wijaya dalam Literasi Visual. Bahwa pemaknaan foto juga tergantung kapan foto itu dilihat. Interval waktu antara proses penciptaan foto dengan waktu foto itu dilihat akan memberi nuansa berbeda. Hal ini bisa dipengaruhi oleh perubahan sosial budaya dan pengalaman individu.

Bagaimana sensasi yang Anda rasakan, ketika melihat imaji Anda sendiri beberapa puluh tahun lalu atau masa-masa ketika Anda sekolah dulu?. Silahkan buka, selidiki album keluarga. Tentu respon kita akan berbeda saat melihatnya dulu dan saat ini.

Foto-foto diri kita yang dipotret asal-asalan sewaktu dulu, akan berubah menjadi sesuatu yang paling berharga saat ini. Itupun sejalan dengan yang dikatakan Arbain Rambey, bahwa foto itu akan menjadi penting ketika dibungkus oleh peristiwa historis dan ini sangat subjektif.

Dari dua maestro fotografi itu, saya jadi open minded memandang karya foto tidak hanya sebagai seni visual yang menyajikan keindahan gradasi warna, komposisi dan objek. Meskipun dari sudut pandang jurnalistik tidak dapat kita pungkiri bahwa foto pun wajib indah, produk fotografi yang menampilkan satu perasaan mendalam dan membuat kita larut dalam perenungan adalah definisi indah. Setidaknya bagi saya pribadi.

Tentang satu episode kehidupan dalam frame ini, sekali lagi, saya merasakan kalau selain ketawa menjadi terharu juga penting.
